As of summer 2026, we have won 142 national and international fine food product awards, of which 87 are Great Taste Awards.
We won our first Great Taste awards back in 2003 just a few months after setting up Chococo and we can still remember how excited we were! The Great Taste Awards are known in the UK as the food oscars and entries come in from all over the world for pretty much every food & drink category you can imagine. There were over 15,000 entries in 2026 and of those, only 28% got a 1 Star award (three of our chocolates got this award) & only 10% got a 2 Star Gold - our Nutty Nutmeg got a 2 Star which was very satisfying as we have been making this chocolate since we started the business & it last won a gong in 2014, so it's still an award-winning flavour!
We believe in entering Great Taste Awards, Academy of Chocolate & International Chocolate Awards to benchmark ourselves, to check that our chocolates and other creations taste as good as we think they do and to also learn from foodie judges with fine palates so that we can constantly improve.
The International Chocolate Awards and Academy of Chocolate Awards are specialist chocolate award schemes and the Academy of Chocolate Awards have become increasingly international over the past few years especially too.
By the way, we only enter awards which are judged blind by panels of judges as they are as objective as they can be.
