Chocolate with a purpose

Our Sustainability Commitments

Doing good is built into how we make chocolate: slave-free, palm oil-free, directly traded and plastic-free. We also partner with conservation charities, so buying chocolate helps protect the planet too.

Rebuilding the rainforest

Since 2018 we've worked with the Sumatran Orangutan Society to replant forests cleared for palm oil and logging. Meet Tuan, Tuandua and Tuantiga, our milk, dark and oat m!lk chocolate orangutans. Every one sold funds a cocoa tree seedling in Sumatra, restoring habitat and supporting local farmers. So far we've funded over 10,000 seedlings.

Protecting ocean giants

Chococo began by the sea in Dorset, so marine life is close to our hearts. Through our partnership with the Ocean Giants Programme, 5% from every box of chocolate turtles helped protect manta rays, whale sharks, dolphins, whales and sea turtles, alongside the habitats they depend on.

Saving our seagrass

Seagrass produces oxygen, shelters marine life and stores carbon with remarkable efficiency, yet a rugby-pitch-sized area is lost every hour. With Project Seagrass, 5% from every Large Chocolate Fish and Chips sold helped protect these vital underwater meadows and the climate we all rely on.
